2. Using this website
- You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
- Please give accurate details — we use them to process, deliver and support your order.
- We may update product information, prices and these terms at any time. The terms that apply are the ones shown when you place your order.
3. Orders
- Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed once we confirm payment and accept the order by email.
- We may decline or cancel an order (with a full refund) if an item is out of stock, a price was shown in error, or we suspect fraud.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable (not VAT registered).
- Delivery fees are shown at checkout before you pay.
- We accept Card & Instant EFT (credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Scan to Pay and Instant EFT), processed on our payment provider’s secure page. We never see or store your card details. Orders are processed once payment is confirmed.
5. Delivery
- We deliver within South Africa through The Courier Guy (TCG), to your door or to a TCG locker. Delivery options, prices and estimated times are shown at checkout.
- Delivery times are estimates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection from the locker.
6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
- You may cancel an order before it is dispatched — contact us with your order number.
- Returns and exchanges are handled under our Returns & Refunds Policy at morato.co.za/returns.php, which forms part of these terms. Requests must be made within 7 days.
- Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the cooling-off right in section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.
7. Gift cards and store credit
- Gift cards and store credit codes can be used for purchases on this website only. They cannot be exchanged for cash and are valid for three years from the date of issue.
- Keep your code safe — anyone with the code can use the balance.
8. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
9. Intellectual property
- All content on this website — the MORATO name and logo, designs, photos and text — belongs to MORATO (Pty) Ltd or its licensors and may not be copied or used without written permission.
10. Liability
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our products. This does not limit any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
11. Privacy
- We handle your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy at morato.co.za/privacy.php.
12. Governing law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
